St. Lucie Audubon Society (SLAS) is based in Fort Pierce, Floirida and established in 1954 to foster knowledge, appreciation, and enjoyment of nature; to encourage responsible environmental stewardship; and to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife and their habitats, for the benefit of humanity and the Earth's biological diversity.
