In December 2001, the National Audubon Society (NAS) Board of Directors authorized local chapters to offer Chapter Only Membership in addition to, or instead of, the traditional
NAS membership.
So, now there are two St. Lucie Audubon Society (SLAS) membership options available: Chapter Only or National/Chapter membership.
A Chapter Only member receives The laughing Gull,published 8 times
annually from October though May, and all of your membership money goes directly to SLAS for SLAS programs. The membership fee is $15/year.
To become a Chapter Only member send your name, address, and a check made out to St. Lucie Audubon Society to:

A National/Chapter member receives the National Audubon Society Magazine (Audubon Magazine) and The laughing Gull and is a member of National Audubon Society and St. Lucie Audubon Society. Currently SLAS receives about $2.00 of the $20 yearly membership fee ($15 students and senior citizens).
There are 3 ways to become a National/Chapter member:
1. Use the secure NAS site online sites for either a credit card
transaction or a "Bill Me Later" transaction. You will need the CHAPTER
CODE EO5 to complete the form.
2. Send your name, address, and a check (made out to National Audubon Society) to:
