St. Lucie Audubon Society Web Site
What do you really care about?
If you asked ten people, "What do you really care
about?" you would
get 15 different responses. A retired man in Minneapolis might be interested
in bass fishing and a young mother in Boston might deeply care
about the latest research on life-threatening food allergies in children. We
are human, and what we all really care about is learning about things that
interest and concern us - both personally and professionally - and interacting
with other people who share these interests.
Florida's wildlife and a concern for the stewardship of its natural resources,
and a commitment to a clean environment is what we really care about. We thrive
on supporting and inspiring our members to take an active role toward this
cause. This site is dedicated to that end.
The value of - and fascination with - the Internet is in the vast diversity
of specialty content, which is readily available to anyone, at any time, for
free. People are online to learn more about the subjects that really matter
to them – without the middlemen, without the gatekeepers, and without
the filters - and to interact with others who feel strongly about the same.
This vast array of specialty-content is the intrinsic value of the Internet.
The Internet uniquely enables individuals who share interests to interact with
one another, without constraint of location or time. It also presents organizations
with a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with their critical
audiences, through one-to-one communication.
So, however you answer the question "What do you really care about?" -
there's probably someone, somewhere who is passionate enough to create a web
site about it. And that’s why St. Lucie Audubon Society has a Web site
on the Internet. The internet is about information sharing and hopefully this
site will lead you to useful information regarding issues that concern you.
