WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A VOLUNTEER?
Submitted by:Victoria Pasquale
- It means that you care that this organization exists.
- It means you want to help others.
- It means you want to make a difference in your "computer
club".

We've had a really great response to our plea last month in these
Bits & Bytes, as well as at the general meeting. Howard Dennewitz
and Leo McCarthy have both volunteered to greet people when
we have our once-a-month meetings. Lou Buindo and Magnus
Unflat have offered to help anywhere we need help, and Lou may
even be interested in becoming a board member next year! Vivian
Rothermel is our new Raffle Chairman, and hubby Jack Rothermel
is on the list for potential board member. Peter Feigl already
runs a SIG and has offered to be a new board member as well. Jim
Barnard helps out at the Computer Lab and is a potential candidate
for the board of directors, either this year or next. So are Susan
Eisenberg, John Carcano, Paul Hunter, and Pat Foster.
Our new Name tag Chairman is Florence Hauser.
We still need an Advertising Manager to keep track of advertisers in this newsletter
and scout for potential advertisers. And there are lots of little jobs that take little
time and effort, like putting back the tables and chairs after our meetings, and labeling
our newsletters for mailing every month. Discover the joys of helping others - and helping
yourself in the process. Please call or email either our President, Blake Boyer
(878-1355), Vice President, Spence Spencer (220-8383), or any one of our directors
and ask how YOU can help. Let's make TCCUG a truly 100% "voluntary organization"!
Our thanks to all those who have offered to volunteer and to those
who are already doing their part. Keep up the good work!
